Shooter
Instead of using a winder, like traditional shooters do, the BeyLauncher uses a string. Its design incorporates two indents on either side to help grip the shooter. The BeyLauncher can be seen as an upgrade to the HMS String Shooter; however, unlike the HMS String Shooter, which had to be wound around an axis manually, the BeyLauncher automatically retracts its string after being released.

BeyLauncher L
The BeyLauncher was actually originally released as the BeyLauncher L, a left spin version of the launcher, with L Drago 105F. It has a larger, more intricately designed, comfortable handle than the right spin BeyLauncher, and also several notches on the indents of the shooter to assist in gripping it.

Beypointer
The Beypointer can be attached to the shooter, and it is used to keep track of your points. Every Blader begins with 1000 points. After each battle, the two players connect their Beypointers and each will lose/gain 10 points depending on if they won or lost. The Beypointer can also be connected to machines like the Bey Ta 1 and a Nintendo DS console through a Beypoint Reader, and it will keep track of all the points that are gained throughout those games. It is unclear how TAKARA-TOMY will prevent cheating using these because you could easily purchase two of them and connect them to get an infinite amount of points, and special Passwords were revealed at official events that can give a player from 100 to 500 points each. The Beypointer will not have much use outside of Japan however because the WBBA (World Beyblade Battle Association) is only active in Japan at the moment.

Complaints about the BeyLauncher
The BeyLauncher has a fatally flawed design. Here is a run down of the problems:

*Handle: The BeyLauncher handle can break or be pulled off under normal use.
*String: The BeyLauncher string can come loose or break under normal use.
*Prongs: The BeyLauncher prongs can break under normal use.

Generally, the BeyLauncher is chosen over the MFB Shooter for it's increased power when the handle is released after launching, but doing so often results in breakages due to the impact of the handle hitting the BeyLauncher. TAKARA-TOMY has recommended that the BeyLauncher be held as pictured here, but this is extremely inefficient. And contradictorily, photos of TAKARA-TOMY employees have been posted on the official WBBA Circle showing them holding the handle in one of the "incorrect" ways. There is absolutely no way to achieve the full potential of the BeyLauncher using their suggested method, and even if you pull all the way to the end of the string without letting go, as they suggest, you run the risk of breaking the string.

Possible solutions to these problems include, rubber cylinder or ball for a handle, as opposed to the current "T" design which flies around too much after it is released, often causing it to whip the user in the arm/hand. And for the prongs, they could be replaced with metal prongs, though the feasibility of this is questionable.

BeyLauncher Suspension
As a solution to the handle breakage issue in the BeyLauncher design, Takara-Tomy released an accessory called the BeyLauncher Suspension. This device would attach to the pre-existing handle of the BeyLauncher and contained a spring inside of it, as well as a re-designed ergonomic handle. This spring allowed the user to pull the launcher at full strength without releasing the handle since it would alleviate the stress from the internal launcher mechanism.

To gain maximum power with the BeyLauncher Suspension, grip the handle naturally (not too firm, but firm enough to not accidentally let go). Then pull the cord back very quickly until it runs out and you feel the tension of the spring expanding. At that point just stop, but do not let go. Accidentally letting the cord go with the Suspension attached results in a weaker shot.

For users with prior experience with the BeyLauncher this is a technique that will require some adjustment. There will be an initial inhibition to pull too hard for fear of breaking the internal mechanisms or string. Current usage has shown no issues with internal launcher damage, so don't be afraid to pull hard. As well don't be afraid to try different launcher positions with the grip, some users have altered their previous setup with the addition of the Suspension for greater performance/comfort.

It is important to note that this accessory ONLY addresses the string and handle breakage but NOT the prong breakage issues. For players who use the BeyLauncher as their primary launcher this is a MUST buy accessory.

Makeshift Solution for Handle Problem
Prior to the release of the Beylauncher Suspension some players devised a makeshift way of reducing the stress to the launcher. Simply attach an elastic around your wrist and the BeyLauncher handle, and the retraction that normally occurs will be minimized, and will basically stay in place until you move your hand back into position to launch again.

Face: L. Drago
The Face on this Beyblade depicts a Dragon, Draco, one of the 88 constellations in space.

Clear Wheel: L. Drago
*Weight: 3.7 grams

The L Drago Clear Wheel features three Dragon-head designs formed to create a circle. It carries a few distinct differences from the rest of the Hybrid Wheel System;
* Left-spin only, which means it is only compatible with the Lightning Metal Wheel.
* L Drago's unique function is mode change. Turning it 180° allows one to switch between two modes on the Metal Wheel; Upper to Multi-Hit Mode. The Clear Wheel allows this differentiation since it covers three of the six protrusions at all times.

Metal Wheel: Lightning
*Weight: 30 grams
This Wheel is characterized by its asymmetrical shape. Of the total six protrusions, three are of the ‘Upper Mode’ and three are of the ‘Multi-Hit mode’. To switch between these modes, the Blader would need to disassemble their Beyblade and rotate the L.Drago Clear Wheel 180°.

Of the two available modes it is widely considered that ‘Upper Mode’ is superior. Contrary to the name, the strength of this wheel doesn’t come from Upper Attack, but Smash Attack. Lightning does suffer from some recoil, but this problem can easily be rectified with both MF and RF. Paired with the right Track Lightning can provide a ferocious Smash Attack.

Use in Attack Customization
A current top-tier Attack combo is MF Lightning L Drago CH120RF (Upper Mode). MF and RF help reduce the recoil Lightning experiences, and CH120 allows you to switch heights to accommodate the Beyblade you are facing. If you are facing a higher Beyblade using a 145 Track, use CH120 at the 145 height, or if you are facing a lower Beyblade with D125, use CH120 at the 120 height. Doing this allows the Lightning Metal Wheel make the most contact possible with the opposing Wheel, rather than the Track.

Track: 100
*Weight: 1.0 grams
100 is currently the second lowest Track available. Its low height allows Attack-based Wheels such as Storm to make good contact with opposing Tracks and Wheels.

Use in Attack Customization
One of the exceptions to the rule of using 90 over 100 is in Storm Pegasis 100RF. It is a top-tier Attack customization; and has been proven through testing to allow Storm to more effectively utilize its Smash Attack capabilities.

Bottom: Hole Flat
*Weight: 0.5 grams

HF has a very similar movement speed to that of F, with the main difference being a slight Stamina improvement due to the hole in the middle of the tip. But, with this comes the detriment of even less grip to the stadium floor than F, and also increased fragility.

Other Versions
*Lightning L. Drago 100HF - Coro Coro Limited Edition (Black Clear Wheel, Track and Bottom; Gold Metal Wheel)

Gallery
<gallery>
Image:00LLDrago.JPG|Lightning L Drago (Upper Mode)
Image:002LLDrago.JPG|Lightning L Drago (Multi-hit Mode)
Image:01LLDrago.JPG|Lightning L Drago (Upper Mode)
Image:03LLDrago.JPG|Lightning L Drago (Multi-hit Mode)
Image:006LLDrago.JPG|Lightning Metal Wheel
Image:07LLDrago.JPG|Lightning Metal Wheel
Image:04LLDrago.JPG|L Drago Clear Wheel
Image:05LLDrago.JPG|L Drago Clear Wheel
Image:08LLDrago.JPG|100 Track
Image:0009LLDrago.JPG|Hole Flat
</gallery>

Overall
Lightning L Drago 100HF is a useful Beyblade with more than one top-tier part included. While Bottom is only adequate, the 100 Track is the best substitute to the 90 Track, which is more difficult to obtain, but the real reason to own this Beyblade is Lightning L Drago; it's effective Smash Attack makes it a worthwhile purchase for all Bladers. Every Blader should own at least one of this Beyblade.
L.L Drago’s (abbreviated form) Clear Wheel is unique from the rest of the Hybrid Wheel System for 2 reasons. First it is Left-Spin only and shaped in a way making it only compatible with the Lightning Metal Wheel.

Secondly it actually has a direct impact on game play. Turning it 180° allows one to switch modes on the Metal Wheel (from Upper to Multi-Hit mode). The Clear Wheel allows this differentiation since it covers 3 of the 6 protrusions at all times.

Use in Attack Customization
A current top tier attack combo is MF L. L. Drago CH120RF. Keeping the track at the 120 mode allows the Beyblade to remain at an ideal height for Smash Attack. Metal Face allows it to reduce recoil and makes Rubber Flat more stable.

Track: 100
*Weight: 1 grams
This is just a standard 100 Track. Considered to be an effective Attack Track, but is readily available through other means. This can be used as a substitute in customizations where 90 is suggested, but not available to the user.

Use in Attack Customization
It is very effective to substitute the 105 track in Storm Pegasis 105RF to make Storm Pegasis 100RF.

Bottom: Hole Flat
*Weight: 0.5 grams

The Bottom is Hole Flat (HF) which has a very similar attack pattern to the Flat Bottom. It is noted to have a small Stamina improvement over Flat, but as a trade-off is more fragile and more likely to be damaged. While it can be substituted in most combos where Flat would be used, it NOT an effective substitute for Rubber Flat.

Other Versions
*Lightning L. Drago 100HF - WBBA Limited Edition (Black Clear Wheel, Track and Bottom; Gold Metal Wheel)

</gallery>

Overall
Lightning L. Drago is an effective Beyblade. While the Track and Bottom are adequate, the star of this Beyblade is the Wheel. Being one of the only two Left-Spin MFB's available, and having a very effective Smash Attack this should be a top purchase for all competitive Beybladers!

<gallery>

</gallery>

Overall
Lightning L. Drago is an effective Beyblade. While the Track and Bottom are adequate, the star of this Beyblade is the Wheel. Being one of the only two Left-Spin MFB's available, and having a very effective Smash Attack this should be a top purchase for all competitive Beybladers!
* Weight: 20 grams<br><br>

Metal Upper features two slight ramps when in right spin direction that are designed to give the attack ring upper attack so that it may lift other beyblades. In left spin the "heads" of the tiger on the attack ring provide some decent smash attack due to its thick metal spikes. Overall the attack ring is rather rounded and is thus well suited for compact customizations. It was originally very useful when HMS first made it's debut, but has since been surpassed by later HMS Beyblade parts.

Mould Differences
When Driger MS was first produced in Japan it shipped with a different Attack Ring from that of current models. This "Japan Mould" AR featured more flat edges on the upper-lifting ramps and a less enforced metal frame that held the AR together.<br>

When production was moved to China, the mould for Metal Upper was changed, adding somewhat rounded edges on the upper ramps and a thicker underlying frame to prevent the AR from breaking.

* Weight: 2 grams<br>
Semi-Flat core is more or less the HMS rendition of SG Semi-Flat; in other words, a nice Running Core. It's tip is sharp, yet flattened on the very end. This gives it a mild movement pattern when launched straight into a beystadium best suited for endurance or defense purposes. However, when launched on a slant it begins to move in a circular, more aggressive attack-type pattern.
}}

__TOC__
Bit Protector (BP): Dark Emblem
The Bit Protector of this Beyblade is the Dark Emblem. This is the second mold version of Bit Protectors; which is tighter than its predecessors.

Attack Ring (AR): Smash Leopard
* Weight: 18 grams
Smash Leopard has small attack range due to its ABS Caul, which allows for more contact using the Metal Frame. Unfortunately this does not save it from being a sub-par AR. Its most effective use is in left spin where the slopes allow for some Force Smash (which compliments the RC). However these slopes are not nearly as pronounced as Advance Attacker (Advance Striker) or Eternal Survivor. In right spin, while it does have some Smash Attack, is even less impressive. Use of this AR is limited to Force Smash customizations.

Metal Frame:
Smash Leopard shares the same metal frame as Smash Phoenix from Dranzer MF, and God Smasher from Shining God MS.

Use in Force Smash Customization
Smash Leopards main use is in Force Smash. This custom has a high RC and heavy WD to make use of its abilities. Must be shot in left spin to be effective.

* AR: Smash Leopard (Dark Leopard MS)
* WD: Circle Heavy /CWD Eternal Survivor
* RC: Tornado Change Core (Dark Leopard MS) or Metal Sharp Core (Wyvern DJ) (Advance Eterner) or Manual Change Core (Dranzer MS)

Use in Smash Attack Customization
A deadly Smash customization can be created when combining Smash Leopard with Samurai Changer MS's CWD Part in Upper Mode. This custom has extremely high recoil and could potentially damage your Beyblade; so use this under your own discretion! To help with the recoil, using a grip tip is best to help it from self-KOing itself.

* AR: Smash Leopard (Dark Leopard MS)
* WD: CWD (Samurai Changer MS) Upper Mode
* RC: Grip Flat Core (Dragoon MS) Or Grip Flat Core Ultimate Mode (Dragoon MS UV)

Weight Disk (WD): Needle Attacker
* Weight: 16 grams

The CWD of this beyblade is Needle Attacker. At the time of its release it was one of the better free spinning CWD rings. However over time its practical use was diminished with better competition on the market. The 8 spikes on this beyblade focus more on slowly shaving off the opponents’ endurance, but when compared to blades like Wolborg MS its effect is near negligible. Overall this CWD is generic and uninteresting, and there are no actual uses for it in a competitive situation.

Running Core (RC): Tornado Change Core
* Weight: 3 grams

This is the highlight of the beyblade and why it is in the Gimmick series. This RC is considered by many to be the spiritual successor to Dranzer V2’s Customize Clutch base. When initially launched Tornado Change Core contains a spring loaded tip which is pushed downward by tabs shifted inwards with centrifugal force. This sharp tip causes the blade to spin in a single place much like sharp core. As the spin velocity reduces the tabs shift outward retracting the tip sending the blade into an offensive mode reminiscent of the Manual Change Core.

While entertaining to play with its practicality in battle is another matter. If the velocity of the beyblade drops too fast in battle it shifts into attack mode and circles around the stadium aimlessly wasting its energy before it can land a hit. Its best chance of winning is to outlast the opponent and avoid being hit until the end of the battle where it will change modes and land a couple of hits. Unfortunately in Stadiums like Tornado Balance Type S this is not practical. Similar to Dranzer MS’s Manual Change Core it suffers from being a tall RC with poor balance. For most attack styles this could be a major hindrance, except for Force Smash.

Use in (Force Smash) Customization
The Usage of this CWD is necessary to take full advantage of this RC. Its height will allow it to perform Force Smash on some short opponents

* AR: Metal Ape (Magical Ape MS) Metal Spring (Einstein MS)
* WD: Eternal Survivor (Force Smash Mode)
* RC: Tornado Change Core (Dark Leopard MS)

When Eternal Survivor is not available the use of Advance Attacker is a good substitute.

* AR: Advance Attacker (Force Smash Mode) (Advance Striker)
* WD: (Circle Heavy)
* RC: Tornado Change Core (Dark Leopard MS)

Gallery
<gallery>

</gallery>

Overall
Overall this blade is part of the gimmick series and was advertised as such. Hence it is important to take into consideration that it is not a competitive series blade like Death Gargoyle MS or Wolborg MS and should be viewed in that light (such as Phantom Fox MS). Tornado Change Core is the highlight of the blade and is fun to play with. The ease of use would appeal to younger players with no experience with shooting techniques.

Unfortunately the AR and WD of this blade are not nearly as impressive as the RC and reduce the overall appeal factor. As a recommendation this blade should only be purchased by those with an interest to enlarge their HMS collection. Those who battle mainly in competitive settings, or those without very large HMS collections should skip this blade.
Attack Ring (AR): Smash Leopard
* Weight: 18 grams

Use in Smash Attack Customization
A deadly Smash customization can be created when combining Smash Leopard with Samurai Changer MS's CWD Part in Upper Mode. This custom has extremely high recoil and could potentially damage your Beyblade; so use this under your own discretion! To help with the recoil, using a grip tip is best to help it from self-KOing itself.

Weight Disk (WD): Needle Attacker
* Weight: 16 grams

* Weight: 3 grams

* WD: (Circle Heavy)
* RC: Tornado Change Core (Dark Leopard MS)
Gallery
<gallery>

</gallery>

This is the second generation bit protector released; it is tighter that the initial bit protectors allowing for a better fit.

Attack Ring (AR): Advance Attacker
* Weight: 21 grams
The attack ring of this beyblade is Advance Attacker, its gimmick is a reversible Metal Frame. The Metal Frame separates from the ABS Caul so it can be flipped to provide Upper Attack ability or Force Smash attack ability. It is also characterized by being symmetrical, so the attack in left spin or right spin is the same. This versatility allows Advance Striker to be the best option for Upper Attack in left spin. In right spin however it is outclassed Circle Upper (Death Gargoyle MS) and Samurai Upper (Samurai Changer MS). Even though they both possess a 20 degree slope, the length of Advance Attacker's is only 1.5 cm compared to the 2.5 cm. of Samurai and Circle Upper. This difference of 1 cm. makes a noticeable difference to the amount of lift capable. The Force Smash feature is very useful if paired with an effective RC since 20 degree slopes make it one of the most pronounced force smash attack rings available. Uncustomized its potential remains untapped since Metal Flat Core is too short to utilize it.

The ABS Caul is a fairly conservative shape, it is nearly a full circle with three small triangular protrusions, and most of the contact is made by the metal frame. Other than some wear on the protrusions the rest of the ABS Caul will receive next to no damage. Its circular shape also allows for better balance.

Another feature of this AR is its size/weight ratio; weighing in at 21 grams Advance Attacker falls in the category for second heaviest attack ring. This weight combined by its small shape allows it to be a good choice for compact customizations. The only AR to weigh more and be as small is Jiraiya Blade (Jiraiya MS); but the difficulty obtaining that blade leaves this as a more viable option for most bladers. Other AR’s like Metal Ape’s (Magical Ape MS) are more compact, but weigh less.

Use in Upper Attack Customization
Advance Attacker can be used effectively in Upper Attack customs in both left and right spin.

* AR: Advance Attacker (Advance Striker) (Upper Mode)
* WD: Circle Heavy /CWD Defense Ring (Sea Dragon)
* RC: Grip Flat Core (Dragoon MS) Or Grip Flat Core Ultimate Mode (Dragoon MS UV)

Use in Force Smash Attack Customization
With a taller RC, the Force Smash mode of Advance Attacker is perfect for Force Smash customs.

* AR: Advance Attacker (Advance Striker) (Force Smash Mode)
* WD:Circle Balance
* RC: Tornado Change Core (Dark Leopard MS)/Metal Sharp Core (Wyvern DJ) (Advance Eterner)/Manual Change Core (Dranzer MS)

Weight Disk (WD): Circle Heavy
* Weight: 16 grams

Running Core (RC): Metal Flat Core
* Weight: 3 grams

Metal Flat core was supposed to be an upgrade to Gaia Dragoon MS' Flat core, and in general it is. It has superior speed, survival and durability than its predecessor. The metal tip allows for extremely high speeds matching that of Metal Change Core (Death Gargoyle MS) and falling behind only to Grip Flat Core Dragoon MS) and Grip Flat Core Ultimate Mode Dragoon MS UV), and because it is metal, it won't be worn down through use in battle.

This RC also has the benefit for being extremely short. It is the third shortest RC bested only by Grip Flat Core and Grip Flat Core Ultimate Mode. This height makes is a good option for employing upper attack combos and compact attackers. By using the Sliding Shoot technique this can be an effective attack RC; without it though it is very uncontrollable and wild in the stadium. This RC is difficult to control in a stadium without a Tornado Ridge.

Use in (Upper Attack) Customization
The high movement speed of Metal Flat Core makes it a great choice for attack customs.

* AR: Circle Upper (Death Gargoyle MS) /Samurai Upper (Samurai Changer MS)
* WD: Circle Heavy /CWD Defense Ring (Sea Dragon)
* RC: Metal Flat Core (Advance Striker)

Use in (Smash Attack) Customization
Because the tip of Metal Flat Core is metal, its survival capability is much higher than that of Grip Flat Core and other similar RC's. This, along with the compact nature of Metal Spring and Circle Heavy make this high spin-rate Smash Attack custom something that can be used to counter the generic Grip Flat Core (Ultimate Mode) customs that are so commonly seen in tournaments.

* AR: Metal Spring (Einstein MS) / Metal Ape (Magical Ape MS) / Jiraiya Blade (Jiraiya MS)
* WD: Circle Heavy
* RC: Metal Flat Core (Advance Striker)

Gallery
<gallery>

</gallery>

Overall
Advance Striker as a whole is a very well designed and constructed beyblade. Its attack ring does has effective upper attack in right spin, but it is outclassed by the two popular game breakers in the format (Circle Upper, Samurai Upper). This disparity prevents it from being used in most competitive play as an Upper Attack AR unless playing within Restricted HMS tournament Rules. Its real strength lies in its force smash ability and left spin upper attack; two attack attack style far less populated. Force smash AR's are few and far between, and the game breakers are only effective upper attackers in right spin.

The RC Metal Flat core is a very useful part to own. The low height, high speed and excellent durability make it a very good option for all attack combos. Its features lend itself well to Smash Attack customizations in a field overpopulated with Upper Attack Combos. Overall this is a good buy for HMS, and serious players+attack beyblade fans should have one in their collection.

__TOC__
Bit Protector (BP): Dark Emblem
The Bit Protector of this Beyblade is the Dark Emblem. This is the second mold version of Bit Protectors; which is tighter than its predecessors.

Attack Ring (AR): Smash Leopard
* Weight: 18 grams
Smash Leopard has small attack range due to its ABS Caul, which allows for more contact using the Metal Frame. Unfortunately this does not save it from being a sub-par AR. Its most effective use is in left spin where the slopes allow for some Force Smash (which compliments the RC). However these slopes are not nearly as pronounced as Advance Attacker or Eternal Survivor.

* Weight: 16 grams

* Weight: 3 grams

* WD: (Circle Heavy)
* RC: Tornado Change Core (Dark Leopard MS)

Gallery
<gallery>

</gallery>

}}

__TOC__
Bit Protector (BP): Heavy Metal Emblem
The Bit Protector of this Beyblade is Heavy Metal Emblem. It is the first mould verson of Bit Protectors.

Attack Ring (AR): Advance Balancer
* Weight: 15 grams
This attack ring has a gear shaped metal sub-ring. This subring has a perfect circle form- able to mantain good defence. The gear shape makes it very good for stealing spin. It is able to steal spin almost perfectly. The ABS caul has 3 wings, about the same diameter as the metal subring. The three small spikes between these wings have very little effect on the AR. Advance Balancer has quite good balance due to its form. It can be seen as an upgrade from the Metal Saucer (Gaia Dragoon MS) attack ring- although it uses the same Metal Frame, the ABS caul has been designed with two small slots underneath to secure it and prevent rattling.

Another advantage is weight. This AR is about 1g heavier than Metal Saucer (Gaia Dragoon MS). The increase in weight comes from the ABS Caul- while Metal Saucer has a hollowed ABS Caul, Advance Balancer's ABC Caul is almost completely solid. The areas underneath two of the small spikes are hollowed out, but this does not apply for the third spike.

Use in Spin Stealing Customization
The main usage of this AR is for spin stealing combos. You can change your spin direction just by loading the G-Winder through the other slot in the shooter. Here is an example:

* AR: Advance Balancer (Advance Averazer)
* WD: Circle Wide
* RC: Bearing Core (Wolborg MS) or Bearing Core 2 (Jiraiya MS)

Select your core depending on the situation. If you expect to see more attackers and older stadiums or Tornado Balance Type S, you should select Bearing Core 2 to prevent knock out. If you expect to see defence or survival type Beyblades and stadiums like Tornado Balance or Tornado Attack, you should select Bearing Core as it has better survival than Bearing Core 2.

Use in Survival Customization
This is another survival type customization. However, the main purpose of this combo is to counter upper attackers. The AR has quite good balance. CWD was chosen to defend against lower Beyblades. A heavier CWD would allow for a higher spin rate, as with the Metal Sharp core.

* AR: Advance Balancer (Advance Averazer)
* WD: CWD 17g (Sea Dragon) Reverse Defense (RBA4 Secret Prize CWD)
* RC: Metal Sharp Core (Advance Eterner)

Weight Disk (WD): Circle Balance
See Circle Balance.

Running Core (RC): Metal Semi-Flat Core
* Weight: 3 grams

This core can be very useful, but is overshadowed by the Metal Change core (Death Gargoyle MS). The main advantage of this core is that it has a controllable attacker movement. Unlike Metal Change core (Death Gargoyle MS), in which the attack movement is relatively fixed once it goes into the center of the stadium, this core can continue to hit the center again and again. As a result, while Metal Change core may waste energy by riding the tornado ridge once struck out of the center by a Survival type Bey, Metal Semi-Flat core is less likely to do so. However, Metal Semi-Flat core has much less Attack and Survival capabilities as compared to Metal Change core (Death Gargoyle MS). Metal Semi-Flat core is an upgrade on Semi-Flat core (Driger MS). Changing the material to Metal is generally an improvement as compared to plastic. However, the tip mould is different. Semi-Flat core (Driger MS) has a much narrowed diameter, as compared to Metal Semi-Flat's 2.5mm tip diameter. Metal Semi-Flat has a lot of movement. It can keep on attacking throughout the match. However, it tends to go into survival mode towards the end of the match. As an attacker core, it is relatively high, so Force Smash can be more worthwhile.

Use in Compact/Attack Customization
This custom is based on spin rate. It is able to keep on attacking the opponent continuously.

* AR: Metal Ape (Magical Ape MS)
* WD: Circle Heavy
* RC: Metal Semi-Flat core (Avance Averazer)

Use in Survival/Wobbler Customization
You should set the AR depending on the opponent's height for this combo.
*AR: Advance Balancer
*WD: Circle Balance
*RC: Metal Semi-Flat core

There is a quality control error that causes some Metal Semi-Flat Core tips to spin free. This error is not a bad one. It will improve survival and allow it to retain its wobbling position even longer.

Other Versions
* Advance Averazer - HMS Custom Try Set Version (White)

Overall
Advance Averazer is the first of the Advance series and makes a lasting impression. The performance of this Beyblade is higher than expected. It is also the best Beyblade to demonstrate the strength difference between plastic and HMS. This is one of the better Balance type Beyblades, with good attack and survival at once. With high speed movement and spin-stealing abilities, it is a good buy.
The Heavy Metal System introduced many new concepts compared to the first generation of Beyblades, one of them being the Bit Protector. As explained in the HMS article, the Bit Protector (BP) plays a much larger role in the assembly of a Beyblade than the Bit Chip did on plastic Beyblades. It is the “screw” that holds together the Beyblade, and what the dual shooter latches onto when preparing to launch.
Bit Protector Molds
Throughout the life of HMS, BPs were generally the same, however, as time went on Takara released newer Beyblades, with new Bit Protector molds. Takara produced three different molds during HMS’s production, they are as follows:

*1st:<br>
Gaia Dragoon MS<br>

Aero Knight MS<br>
Bloody Devil MS<br>
Shining God MS<br>
Slash Riger MS

Note: While Takara produced all three different molds, it is unsure how many Hasbro made. Due to the low profile and shorter run of Hasbro HMS, we are only able to discern two different molds. However the possibility of there being three still exists and further information is required.

Differences Between Molds
The first mold, produced in most of the original HMS releases, is loose; this results in an unstable Beyblade with lowered spin velocity. The second mold, is tighter than the first and was the most produced of the three molds. The third mold, only produced in four Beyblades is the most stable and tightest, with very little room between the BP and AR.

Mold Uses
Generally, using the tightest BP is the best choice. It makes the parts fit more snugly, not allowing them to rattle during battle. The first mold can be used for wobbler combinations, as the looseness contributes to the wobbling, but what it loses from this (stability and spin velocity) are far most costly in a battle situation.

Running Protector
The Running Protector is a special part that was only released in Round Shell MS for it's gimmick, running mode. For more information on the Running Protector, please see the Round Shell MS article.
Overall
Having all three different Bit Protector molds is essential for any serious Beyblade player; the difference they give may seem minuscule, but that's what it comes down to in serious matches.
As explained in the HMS article, the Bit Protector (BP) plays a much larger role in the assembly of a Beyblade than the Bit Chip did on plastic Beyblades. It is the “screw” that holds together the Beyblade, and what the dual shooter latches onto when preparing to launch.

For more information on the components and assembly of HMS Beyblades, please see the HMS article .

Dragoon MS<br>
Dranzer MS<br>
Driger MS<br>
Draciel MS<br>
Einstein MS<br>
Wyvern DJ<br>
Dragoon MS UV<br>
Death Gargoyle MS<br>
Wolborg MS<br>

*2nd:<br>
Advance Averazer<br>
Advance Guardian<br>
Advance Striker<br>
Advance Eterner<br>
Phantom Fox MS<br>
Dark Leopard MS<br>
Magical Ape MS<br>
Round Shell MS<br>
Samurai Changer MS<br>
Thunder Dragon<br>
Sea Dragon<br>
Dragoon MF<br>
Dranzer MF<br>

*3rd:<br>
Jiraiya MS<br>
Aero Knight MS<br>
Bloody Devil MS<br>
Shining God MS<br>
Slash Riger MS

Note: While Takara produced all three different molds, it is unsure how manyHasbro made.

Overall
Having all three different Bit Protector molds is essential for any serious Beyblade player; the difference they give may seem miniscule, but thats what it comes down to in serious matches.
