Flash Sagittario 230WD is the last 4D release, as well as the last regular release for Metal Fight Beyblade before the beginning of Beyblade Zero-G.

The Face of this Beyblade depicts Sagittarius, one of the Zodiac signs. In addition to the original mark design, a bright explosion was drawn behind the two eyes of Sagittario, to create a link with the 4D Metal Wheel it is released with, Flash.

In coordination with the theme of the Sagittario II 4D Clear Wheel, Flash is an assembly of many bow-and-arrow illustrations. The gimmick used for Flash's mode change is not new at all, despite TAKARA-TOMY's designers having more creative ideas originally.

====Metal Frame====
Flash's Metal Frame resembles the Flame Metal Wheel a lot. It is rather oval, and half of its sides consist in a large and very thick slope. Its underside is mostly empty however, which takes away most of its potential weight.

In Stamina Mode, the two bow-and-arrow from the Metal Frame are perpendicular to those of the Core. This mode creates a four-winged shape.

Once the Metal Frame is rotated by 90°, the Attack Mode is achieved, where the two bow-and-arrow designs of the Core are exactly under the Metal Frame's. The resulting shape of the Flash 4D Metal Wheel is one that is exaggerately elongated. However, most of Flash's weight becomes focused on two distinctive sides, which conveys to it a substantial Flywheel Effect, and since both metal parts are one on top of the other, the 4D Metal Wheel becomes much denser.

This mode change is possible because of the existence of some small walls on the underside of the Metal Frame.

====Core====
This piece looks very similar to its Metal Frame, however there is much less relief in it: while the Metal Frame has slopes, Flash's Core is completely flat. This detail means that its underside is entirely filled though, otherwise it could suffer from breakage issues.

==Track: 230==

230 is the tallest Track released thus far. 230 is part of the Maximum Series, and is labeled as the Maximum Height for Tracks. 230 has six indents near the top of the Track that sharpen downwards to about the half of the Track. 230 is rounder and thicker than regular Tracks with no gimmicks in order to protect it structurally as it comes into regular contact with opposing Wheels. Its round and smooth shape results in significantly less recoil than if it were based on the traditional hexagonal Track shape. Since 230 is so tall, it can wobble at great lengths for extra Stamina, defeating various Stamina customizations with lower Tracks. From a defensive viewpoint, it uses its height as an advantage to protect itself from low incoming Attacks, by protecting the Metal Wheel from major contact while using the reinforced plastic to absorb most of the shock. As a result of this, 230 can defeat most low Attack customizations under the 120 height when paired with other top-tier Defense parts.

230 also has some notable weaknesses, however. As a Defense Track, 230 is extremely susceptible to tall Track Attack types in the opposite spin direction such as MF Lightning L Drago BD145LRF and MF Gravity Perseus BD145RF. Additionally, TH170 at 220 height is successful against 230-based customizations, while also offering height-based versatility at the same time.

This play of good defense against low Beyblades and weakness against high Attackers is highly due to the fact that low tops hit it exactly in its center of gravity. Most of the weight is obviously at the top of the Beyblade using 230, however the Track itself also possess a considerable mass, and the sum of those weights brings the center of gravity exactly around where 120-based Beyblades attack. Usually, the lower the center of gravity, the better, but as long as it is targeted, the object retains a certain balance. If it gets hit away from that center of gravity vertically, then the object will lose its stability, which is what happens with 230.

===Use in Stamina customization===
230 can be put to use in the [[Survival | Stamina]] customization ''Scythe Bull 230D''. D is a superior choice for 230 because it retains balance more easily than WD.

==Bottom: Wide Defense==

Wide Defense, as its name implies is one of the widest of the “Defense” series of Bottoms (D, SD, WD, PD, EWD). This brings numerous advantages, but also some disadvantages when compared to the other “Defense” Bottoms, specifically D. The advantages include its ability for abnormally long precession times due to its massive width that reaches the edge of the Bottom's perimeter. This allows it to wobble at a significantly larger angle for a longer period of time than D, and at a much lower spin rate. However, depending on the position of the Beyblade using WD and the spin rate of the opponent, this can be disadvantageous because of how easy it becomes to knock over the precessing WD custom. This low spin rate towards the end of the battle is created because in the process of wobbling at such a large angle, more friction is made with the stadium floor, thus decreasing its Stamina. Nevertheless, this more often an advantage than it is a disadvantage.

Newer parts such as CS, EDS and B:D have overshadowed WD to some degree: CS and EDS due to their ability to be paired with the popular BD145 Track without scraping, and B:D because of its height and even longer precession times, but WD is still one of the best pure Stamina Bottoms available. However, when selecting high Tracks such as TH170 and 230, WD's tendency to wobble at larger angles should be kept in mind, as its extreme precession can often become problematic.

Although the name suggests Defensive characteristics, WD does not possess any inherent defensive qualities. However, its proficiency can be increased significantly when facing left-spin Attackers through the utilization of the [[Weak Shooting]] technique.

===Use in Stamina customization===
WD is arguably the best of the “Defense” series of Bottoms, and its effectiveness can be utilized in the custom Phantom Bull AD145WD.

This combination focuses on the bludgeoning effect from its weight and small size, as well as limiting the recoil of Mountain Hammer. It is surprisingly effective, given it breaks almost every rule of [[Smash Attack]] customization. It does have one significant limitation, however: it is noticeably less effective against opposite-spin opponents, and as such, is best only used against beyblades which use the same spin direction.

Uriel 2’s SG Grip Change Base can be used for additional speed and power, however, it is a very fragile and expensive part, so this is generally not recommended. That said, it is arguably the safest combination to use that base in, as the areas which make contact with the base are relatively low-profile, meaning there is less stress on the weak gold plastic which the base is composed of.

== Support Part (SP): Defense Ring ==

Without a doubt, Defense Ring is the prized part of [[Voltaic Ape]]. It is hugely popular for [[Zombie]] customizations, and with good reason: it has notches that can steal spin from contact below the weight disk, it doesn’t interfere with the round perimeters of [[Wide Survivor]]/[[Wide Defense]], the location and shape protects against upper attack, and it has excellent life after death, possibly the best of any Support Part.

The relatively compact shape also means it finds secondary use in compacts using [[Driger V2]] ’s Customize Change Base.

===Use in Defensive Zombie Customization===
This combination is the standard Grip-Based defender, a Zombie customisation using the grip from Wolborg 2’s SG (Bearing Ver. 2) to withstand hard hits, while being able to steal spin, counteracting the poor stamina of the tip. Defense Ring enhances this combination, giving additional protection against [[Upper Attack]], and offering excellent [[Life After Death]]. In addition, this combination can be launched aggressively to score KO’s against opponents with very weak defence who might otherwise outspin it. As such, it is easily one of the most powerful [[Defense]] Customizations in the entire plastic generation.

Customise Metal Sharp is a relatively tall base, consisting of a central pole and a relatively flat platform. The tip is a somewhat wide conical metal spike; however, as it loses balance, the plastic surrounds provide extra stability and aid in life after death, producing excellent stamina, and surprisingly impressive stability.

However, the height and shape, alongside extremely low grip tip make it an easy target for lower attackers, especially [[Upper Attack]] customisations, which can throw it around with little trouble. In addition to this, almost all stamina bases, including Customize Metal Sharp, are heavily outclassed by zombie parts, and as such this base is rarely considered for serious competitive use.

== Attack Ring (AR): Knight Claws Ring ==

Knight Claws Ring’s name is rather descriptive of the part’s appearance: it has three large, triangular bodies with flat protrusions in front, and claw-shaped structures extending behind. These larger wings are connected by very thin sections, which also share the armoured appearance. In right spin, the flatter protrusions in front of the triangular sections are the main contact point, and due to their large, flat shape, they cause a lot of recoil, and only have mediocre smash attack ability. The high shock resulting from contact also frequently causes breakage of the relatively thin frame of Knight Claws Ring, and it is not uncommon for them to break after only a few battles. This recoil, combined with the odd shape, also makes Knight Claws Ring completely useless for Survival or Defence.

In left spin, the claws of the AR make contact, however, their awkward, outward-facing angle results in heavy recoil, and the weak design often causes them to snap off (if the entire AR doesn’t split in two from the shock first).

Due to the high breakage resulting from its flimsy design, and mediocre smash ability, there is absolutely no reason to use this part.

== Attack Ring (AR): War Bear ==

The Attack Ring of Galzzly, War Bear, takes the shape of two Bear heads, followed by three closely arranged protrusions with a pickaxe-like appearance. In right spin, the heads of the AR are the main impact point, providing some blunt [[Smash Attack]], but causing a lot of recoil in the process. The other protrusions are too closely packed together to have any noticeable effect.
In left spin, the leading spike has some [[Smash Attack]] ability, but it is quite weak, and also rather fragile, and overall is not worth using.

As such, War Bear itself is largely useless, and it is only hindered by the inclusion of a Free-Spinning Sub Ring, which adds recoil and dampens the attack. Even with less obstructive SARs, it still has no competitive value.

Sub-Attack Ring (SAR): War Bear SAR:
War Bear also has a free spinning Sub-AR, in the shape of two large, pickaxe-like protrusions. The leading edge in right spin is large and blunt and due to the free spinning nature, largely ineffectual, only serving to slow down the beyblade it is attached to without adding any amount of [[Smash Attack]]. In left spin, the contact point is much sharper, but due to its free-spinning nature, again mostly useless.

That said, this part does have some use. In left spin, the contact point is excellently shaped for [[Smash Attack]], though this is usually not helpful because, being free spinning, it cannot deliver a solid hit. However, a few setups exist which fix it in place, allowing it to be used successfully in [[Smash Attack]] customization.

===Use in [[Smash Attack]] Customization===
An example combination which fixes War Bear’s SAR in place and uses this to execute powerful [[Smash Attack]] is as follows:

While the use of two relatively high recoil, rather unpopular AR parts may seem nonsensical, these two have excellent synergy: Dragon Breaker has a lot of power, but the lack of suitable Sub-ARs and some recoil issues means it sees little use. However, because it is a relatively thick AR, it is able to fix the War Bear Sub-AR in place, sandwiching the Sub-AR against the Weight Disk, and with a weight disk like Wide Defense, this creates enough friction to allow it to deliver solid hits with relatively little movement.

The War Bear SAR also improves the consistency of Dragon Breaker, which improves the recoil issues, and also helps balance the AR out slightly. As a result, while this combination does have some recoil, it is far less than that of [[OHKO]] ARs such as Whale Crusher ([[Seaborg 2]]). Furthermore, the excellent range of the two means that they can easily make contact with opponents, where other Attack Rings would have near misses, this setup usually makes contact.

SG Metal Flat 2 increases the stamina of the combination and gives good aggressive movement, and any control issues are mitigated by the prodigious range of the AR+SAR setup. Wide Defense fixes the SAR in place and promotes aggressive movement, and, combined with an MG Core, has enough weight to control recoil.

For maximum potency, the War Bear SAR should be arranged as in the picture to the right, sitting above the red-stickered section of Dragon Breaker. It does shift somewhat after delivering hard hits during battle, and should be re-adjusted between rounds.
The Weight Disk should sit with the flat side against the base, fixing the Sub-Ring in place.
