Face: Pegasis
The face on this Beyblade depicts a Pegasus, one of the 88 constellations in space.

Clear Wheel: Pegasis II
*Weight: 3.1 grams
Pegasis II depicts the wings and heads of Pegasis, much like the previous Pegasis Clear Wheel. On each of the wings shows the letters P-E-G-I, short for Pegasis, in a red color.

Metal Wheel: Galaxy
*Weight: 29.4 grams
Much like Pegasis and Storm, Galaxy's main shape consists of three rounded, wing-like forms intended to depict the wings of Pegasis, and each wing has two separate protrusions. There are four indented separations on each wing, complimented by three curved ridges on the top and five small spikes on the bottom. Each of the undersides are hollow, making Galaxy very light.

Though Galaxy has a very violent appearance, in actual battle it is very restrained; it is unable to deliver a great amount of Smash even at high speeds, primarily because of its light weight and rounded protrusions. As such, Galaxy is easily outclassed by other Attack Wheels of it its time and not recommended to be used competitively.

Track: Wing 105
*Weight: 1.2 grams
Wing 105, or W105, consists of two curved wing-like fins that slant downwards, similar to DF145. The main purpose of this Track is to push air upwards to provide extra Stamina, but the effect this Track produces is negligible, therefore it has as much competitive value as a regular 105 track. W105 should only be used in the absence of 85, 90, and 100 in both Stamina and Attack customizations.

Bottom: Right Rubber Flat
*Weight: 0.8 grams

Right Rubber Flat, shortened to R²F, is–competitively speaking–the most vital part of this Beyblade. R²F is very similar to RF, and is an overall upgraded version of it. R²F consists of six curved rubber spikes that face to the right intended predominantly for use in right-spin combos. This new design creates more traction with the stadium floor, causing it to move more quickly than its predecessor, RF. However, its stamina is decreased due to the increase in speed and friction compared to the original RF. This also means an R²F will wear down faster than an RF.

Since this is a rubber Attack Bottom, a new R²F is harder to control than a new RF, mainly because it moves much faster. This makes RF a good choice for controllability and stamina, while R²F is a better choice for speed and power. Like RF however, it is essential to wear the rubber of R²F before competitive use, as this allows the Beyblade to spin into a "flower pattern" more easily. A clear sign that shows when an R²F is in its prime is when the indented lines that form a star shape inside R²F's perimeter are nearly gone.

Mold Variations
Throughout the course of its release, each company (Takara-Tomy, Sonokong, Hasbro) has released its own mold of R²F which revolved around the different placement of a 'bar' on the inside of the tip, (a lack thereof) which seem to be made at random.

Mold 1 (Takara-Tomy/Sonokong)
This mold contains a thick bar in the middle of the tip, securing the Rubber of R²F.

Mold 2 (Original Hasbro release)
Mold 2 has no bar in the middle, yet a space for one which in reality provides no support for the Rubber tip. This mold is known to be very shaky.

Mold 3 (Hasbro GanGan Galaxy Set Release)
What this release provided was a quasi-barred R²F which has 2 separated bars in the middle, as usual, but are not actually connected at the center.

Use in Attack Customization
R²F can be utilized in any situation where RF would be used to increase overall speed and power. MF Blitz Unicorno CH120R²F is a great example of this; Blitz has zero Stamina, so it must always aim for a KO as quickly as possible. The additional speed and power of R²F can help to accomplish this.

</gallery>

Overall
The only notable part of this Beyblade–R²F–more than makes up for the other lackluster and outclassed parts. It is essentially an upgraded version of RF in terms of speed and power, and considered to be better for most situations. Every Blader should own multiples of this Beyblade.
Attack Ring (AR): Triple Wing
* Weight: 5 grams

The construction of Triple Wing mainly consists of three large spikes, with some inset notches strewn throughout. While the spikes are angled slightly upwards, the Upper Attack present is negligible. However, these spikes and notches make for excellent Smash Attack.

Triple Wing found its home among Smash Attack enthusiasts simply because it is so good and consistent at what it does. Recoil is a big problem with Smash Attack, but Triple Wing seems to rarely suffer from this. Enough surface area of Triple Wing is laden with attacking projections that it can consistently deliver critical hits and KOs to opposing Beyblades.

Use in Smash Attack Customization
* SG: Neo Right
* SG Core: Heavy Metal Core (Metal Driger)
* BB: SG Metal Flat 2 (Gaia Dragoon V)

Using a metal tip and the HMC, this combo has a strong movement speed, but also has enough Survival to deliver decent hits even as it's slowing down. The heavy weight allows it to move to the center quickly, rather than wasting energy circling the outside of the stadium. Wide Defense is a perfect match for Triple Wing; the notches work to increase Smash Attack, and the weight being focused along the outside increases momentum.

* AR: Triple Wing (Trygle)
* WD: Wide Defense
* BB: Grip Base (Dragoon Grip Attacker)

This combo is a bit riskier. Grip Base is incredibly quick and light, making it hard to aim and control properly. However, an early hit is almost impossible to survive. If your shooting ability is strong, you can make very good use of this combo.

Weight Disk (WD): Eight Wide
See Eight Wide.

Spin Gear (SG): Right SG (Jumping Version)
* Weight: 6 grams

SG Jumping Version is essentially an incredibly long, extendable and retractable tip attached to a spring. It only functions in conjunction with SG Jumping Base, which contains a switch that sets it off and makes it jump. Otherwise, all you're left with is an incredibly tall, susceptible SG.

Blade Base (BB): SG Jumping Base
* Weight: 7 grams

Jumping Base is affixed with two wings that, when hit, activate a switch that causes the spring-force tip SG Jumping Version to be expelled from the base, causing it to jump. Unfortunately, the jumping gimmick is just that: a gimmick. It has no practical use whatsoever. The wings are incredibly susceptible to recoil and breakage, and the extreme height makes it incredibly easy to knock off balance. The best you can hope for is a very lucky KO.
Overall
While the Jumping Base leaves much to be desired, Triple Wing does not. It has been long regarded as the best plastic Smash Attack AR, with Driger G's Upper Tiger and Dragoon G's Eight Spiker sometimes moving in on that territory. However, nothing will ever change the fact that it is an incredibly strong choice for Smash Attack combos. Every Blader should own at least one of this Beyblade.
The Bit Protector of this Beyblade is Wolborg Emblem. It is the first mould version of Bit Protectors.
Attack Ring (AR): Wolf Crusher
* Weight: 20 grams

Wolf Crusher is best used in conjunction with an uncustomized Wolborg MS. At first glance, it is deceptively aggressive looking. However, in actual performance it is very restrained. It has a circular, balanced form that lends itself well to Survival. It will not interfere with the life after death capability of the Circle Wide. However, this AR does not have many practical applications outside of being combined with Wolborg MS's Bearing Core.
Running Core (RC): Bearing Core
* Weight: 5 grams

Bearing Core was one of the most highly anticipated parts at the time of its release, and it did not disappoint. Bearing Core remains to be unarguably one of the most important parts for every Blader to own. It has the best Survival capability of any part ever.

Bearing Core has a thick, sharp plastic tip attached to a metal shaft that runs into the Running Core. Between the shaft and outer casing of the Running Core is an NSK ball bearing, such as the ones present in previous Survival hallmark Beyblades. However, the Bearing Core completely outclasses every Survival part preceding it.

Use in Survival Customization
Wolborg MS works incredibly well as a Survival type on its own. However, it can be improved by many different types of customizations. You should try your own to see which ones work best for you. Here are just a few examples.

* AR: Advance Survivor (Advance Eterner)
* WD: CWD God Ring (Shining God MS)
* RC: Bearing Core (Wolborg MS)

* AR: Wolf Crusher (Wolborg MS)
* WD: CWD Reverse Defenser (Dranzer MF)
* RC: Bearing Core (Wolborg MS)

* AR: Circle Upper (Death Gargoyle MS)
* WD: Circle Wide
* RC: Bearing Core (Wolborg MS)

Controversy Over Bearing Core
Bearing Core was a large source of controversy within the Beyblade community simply because of how powerful it is. In most stadiums, particularly Tornado Balance, its ability to outlast almost any other Beyblade was game-breaking in its effectiveness. There are very niche methods available to beat it, but this did not change the fact that it still outclassed almost every other part in the game. There were even discussions of banning the part.

However, Takara addressed this issue by releasing Tornado Balance Type S. By releasing a smaller stadium, Bearing Core lost its advantage as it was easily knocked out of the stadium.

How to Defeat Bearing Core-Based Beyblades
In Tornado Balance Type S, defeating Beyblades based on Bearing Core is easy because the stadium is small enough to allow for easy hits and knockouts. However, in most other stadiums defeating Bearing Core-based Beyblades is a chore because it is difficult to hit consistently. However, there are ways to do it. The following strategies are designed for best use in the Tornado Attack and Tornado Balance stadiums.

Halting + Force Smash Combo
It must be noted that this combo is only effective if both it and the Bearing Core Beyblade are spinning in the same direction. However, that is the only variable that affects this Beyblade's performance in a significant way.

* AR: Metal Ape (Magical Ape MS)
* RC: Rubber Weight Core (Round Shell MS)

This combo works because the rubber on the Rubber Weight Core saps the opposing Beyblade's energy effectively and also uses Force Smash to push it into the stadium floor. Metal Ape is the best choice of AR for this combo because the high spin velocity lends itself well to the concept, not to mention that the shape lines up perfectly with Rubber Weight Core. Tests have shown this combo to have an almost perfect victory rate.

Attack Combo
If you are a Blader who is skilled at shooting and knows how to control fast Attack-types, then this type of combo can serve you well. The goal is to hit the Bearing Core Beyblade as quickly as possible in order to KO it or hit it hard enough to stop it from spinning. Because Bearing Core Beyblades tend to sit in the center of the stadium, it is important that the Attack combo be shot in such a way that it moves through the center of the stadium repeatedly.

* AR: Samurai Upper (Samurai Changer MS)
* WD: CWD Defense Ring (Sea Dragon)
* RC: Grip Flat Core Ultimate Mode (Dragoon MS UV)

If you find it too difficult to control with the above RC, you can also try replacing it with Dragoon MS's Grip Flat Core.

Survival Combo (Bearing Core Variant)
You can customise also your own Bearing Core Beyblade in order to beat your opponent's. For best results, yours should be spinning in the direction opposite to your opponent's and be optimized for Spin-Stealing. The tip of your Bearing Core should be in near-mint condition or better, and there should be no bend in the shaft.

* AR: Advance Survivor (Advance Eterner)
* WD: CWD Reverse Defenser (Dranzer MF) or CWD Free Survivor (Thunder Dragon)
* RC: Bearing Core (Wolborg MS)

</gallery>

Overall
There is little to say about Wolborg MS that has not been repeated ad-nauseum within the Beyblade community. Simply put, if you want victory and can only purchase one Beyblade, this is the one to have. Out of the box and uncustomized it is a force to be reckoned with, and customized its potential only increases. Only very skilled Bladers are able to defeat it with consistency. Game-breakingly good, this should be at the very top of your purchase list. All Bladers should own multiples of this Beyblade.

Face: Ares
The Face on this Beyblade depicts Ares, the Greek God of War.

Metal Wheel: VariAres
* Weight: 43.6 grams

VariAres is unarguably the most aggressively designed Wheel ever released in MFB, and is the second Metal Wheel capable of spinning in both Left and Right Spin (the first being Gravity Perseus). It has a relatively thick, wide three-winged design. Each wing ends in an abrupt, sharp point that provides intense Smash Attack in both spin directions. In addition to this, along each wing there are six indents of varying size that provide Spike Attack which works in tandem with the sharp Smash Attack points on the ends of each wing. However, while VariAres' attack power may be high, it does suffer from huge amounts of recoil because it is so aggressively designed. This can make VariAres a risky Wheel to use in some respects, but as the game has evolved, lighter, more compact Attack Wheels such as Lightning have become harder and harder to use effectively without the assistance of something like BD145. VariAres can backfire due to its recoil, but it does not need the width and weight of BD145 to be effective.

Between each wing is a large gap. Fitted in between these gaps is a yellow PC Frame, that protrudes outwards in a triangular shape as far as the Metal Frame. Unlike other 4D Beyblades, VariAres' PC Frame is built in conjunction with the Metal Frame. On the bottom side of the Metal Wheel where the mechanism that controls the plastic wings release are located, there is cover of a hard plastic sheet.

When VariAres is spinning at high spin speeds, the PC Frame retracts towards the centre of VariAres, exposing more Metal, and therefore producing more Smash Attack. This is considered "Attack Mode". As VariAres' spin velocity lowers, the PC Frame extends out to it's full length, allowing for more Plastic contact in an attempt to reduce recoil. This is considered "Defense Mode".

Use in Attack customization
Due to its relatively heavy weight, three gaps, and prominent indentations, VariAres produces incredibly potent Smash Attack. A Metal Face - Heavy and Rubber Flat variant in unison with VariAres' high rotational force reduces VariAres' recoil, and provides proficient Smash Attack in the top-tier attack customizations: MF/-H VariAres CH120RF/R2F/LRF and MF/-H VariAres R145RF/R2F/LRF.

Bottom: Delta Drive (D:D)
* Weight: 0.7 grams

D:D is of a round shape with a translucent black colour, and with a height comparable to 145WD. Like most 4D Bottoms, D:D's gimmick is mode change-related. Like Dranzer F's Flame Change Base from the Plastic generation, D:D has the gimmick of triple mode change. D:D features a Sharp Bottom, a Wide Ball Bottom, and a Flat Bottom all on one axis, which can be changed manually between battles. To change modes, the tip can be pulled out slightly, rotated on its axis, and then pushed back in on the new tip. D:D is evidently an incredibly versatile bottom, but this versatility is made useless by the fact that the Bottoms encased are all outclassed in one way or another; S is outclassed by WD, WB is outclassed by CS, and F is outclassed by RF.

Use in Balance customization
Because each tip contained within D:D is outclassed, it has only found use in sub-par Balance combinations such as MF-H Basalt Kerbecs D:D.

* VariAres - WBBA G4 Prize (Gun Metallic)
Image:VariAresdissassembled.jpg|VariAres pieces
</Gallery>

Overall
VariAres quickly found its home in Smash Attack customs and is regarded by some to be superior to Lightning, which has held its own position as the most popular Smash Attack Wheel since release. The mechanism within D:D is an improvement over the classic Flame Change Base, but like Flame Change Base, it is almost as useless competitively. VariAres alone makes this worth a purchase, though. Every Blader should at least own one of this Beyblade.
Note: Basalt Horogium was released as a starter by TAKARA-TOMY with the Light Launcher 2, while the Sonokong starter was released with the Snipe Launcher.

Basalt Horogium 145WD is the fifth and final Beyblade in the Maximum Series. Basalt Horogium 145WD's "gimmick" is the "maximum weight" of its Metal Wheel.

Name Change
Basalt Horogium 145WD was released by Hasbro as Twisted Tempo 145WD.

Face: Horogium
* Weight: 1.05 Grams
The Face on this Beyblade depicts Horologium, one of the 88 constellations in space. Horologium is the pendulum clock constellation.

Clear Wheel: Horogium
* Weight: 2.71 Grams
The Horogium Clear Wheel was released in a grayish-blue color. It is gear shaped, with white Roman Numerals reminiscent of a clock decorating the circumference. However, there is a rectangular gap where "III" is supposed to be and 2 clock hands causing irregular weight distribution. Therefore, this Clear Wheel shouldn't be used in any Defense or Stamina combos. However, Horogium exposes the slopes on the Screw Metal Wheel, and can be used in the Attack custom described below.

Use In Attack Customization
Though Pisces exposes Screw better than Horogium, it can still be used in the Attack custom MF Screw Horogium 90RF.

Metal Wheel: Basalt
* Weight: 47.52 Grams
Basalt is a completely circular Metal Wheel, with sets of indents distributed around its circumference and is almost cylindrical in its thickness, part of which overhangs the Track being used in conjunction with it.

Basalt is a member of the Maximum Series, with its "gimmick" being "maximum weight". It is the heaviest Metal Wheel ever created; much heavier and thicker than even the infamous Libra. Basalt's circular nature, in combination with its abnormally heavy weight make it without a doubt, the absolute best Metal Wheel for Defense customizations.

However, Basalt is missing a chunk of metal inside its perimeter which forms what is called the "Spiral Staircase of Death". The "Spiral Staircase of Death" was meant to neuter Basalt's incredibly high power slightly by creating an imbalance within the Wheel. While this imbalance does indeed occur, it is not a notable hindrance to its usefulness. In fact, despite the imbalance/wobbling caused by the "Spiral Staircase of Death", Basalt also has strong Stamina, although it has since been outclassed by Scythe and Phantom. The imbalance/wobbling caused by the "Spiral Staircase of Death" does contribute slightly to the recoil Basalt suffers, but again, this is not a huge hindrance to its usefulness.

Use in Defense Customization
Although Basalt has recoil because of the metal missing from the wheel, its sheer weight alone makes Basalt more effective than Earth and even Libra at Defense. Its capabilities can be utilized in the staple custom MF-H Basalt Bull BD145MB.

Use in Stamina Customization
Basalt may have a bad solo-spin time, but nevertheless, its Stamina in battle is impressive. In addition, its recoil reduces the opponent's rotation speed and can sometimes knock it out. Basalt's Stamina ability can be used to great effect in the custom Basalt Bull AD145WD.

Track: 145
* Weight: 1.47 Grams
This track is a regular, non-gimmicked track at the 145 height. It can be used in Stamina customs to great effect to to its tall height, but has been outclassed for wobbler customs by 230. It used to be on par for Stamina customs with DF145, but AD145 offers better Stamina on a 145 height, and 85 offers better Stamina in general. Thus, it's outclassed.

Use in Stamina Customization
If AD145, 85, and 230 aren't accessible, 145 still can be used in the custom Phantom Bull 145WD. Though outclassed, it is still good.

Bottom: Wide Defense
* Weight: 0.81

Wide Defense, as its name implies is the widest of the “Defense” series of Bottoms (D, SD, WD, EWD, W²D and PD). This brings numerous advantages, but also some disadvantages when compared to the other “Defense” Bottoms. Many people choose WD over SD because of better balance, and better spin times. Also, because of its massive width that reaches the edge of the Bottom's perimeter, it is able to wobble at a significantly larger angle for a longer period of time than D, SD, or PD, and at a much lower spin rate. This can be advantageous in many battles, particularly those between two Stamina types when they are about to topple over; however, if you happen to have a weaker shot than your opponent who is using something such as Burn Bull AD145SD, WDs low spin rate towards the end of the battle will make it extremely easy for the opponent to knock it completely over. This low spin rate towards the end of the battle is created because in the process of wobbling at such a large angle, more friction is made with the stadium floor, thus decreasing its Stamina. This is all avoidable however if your shot is at least as powerful as your opponent, as the extra time it is able to spin on an angle will allow you to narrowly outspin your D or SD based opponent.

Use in Stamina Customization
WD is arguably the best of the "Defense" series, and can be used in the custom Scythe Kronos AD145WD.

Overall
Basalt Horogium 145WD contains two top-tier parts that every Blader needs to play at a high level competitively; Basalt and WD. WD is one of the best Stamina Bottoms available, and Basalt, with its astronomical weight is indisputably the best Defense Wheel to date. Horogium, while a non-essential part, does have use as a good alternative to Pisces for exposing Screw's slopes. Every Blader should own at least one of this Beyblade.
| beyblade type = Attack
}}

__TOC__

Face: Unicorno II
The Face Bolt depicts "Monoceros", one of the 88 constellations in space. Monoceros is Greek for "Unicorn", in which the Beyblade is based on. The design resembles the design on the original Unicorno Face Bolt but has a more elaborate motif, featuring an angled lighting effect on the tip of the horn.

4D Clear Wheel: Unicorno II
*Weight: 3.27 Grams

Unicorno II resembles the original Unicorno Clear Wheel but wider with Iron powder scattered throughout it, as is common with 4D Beyblades. The three "horns" of the Unicorn motif are now purple instead of bronze, as they were on the original Unicorno Clear Wheel. As this CW is thicker, more elevated, and heavier than its predecessor, it should take priority when selecting a three-sided CW.

4D Metal Wheel: Blitz
*Weight: 43.72 Grams

This Metal Wheel is made up of two parts. A Core, which comprises the bulk of the Metal Wheel, and a Metal Frame.

Metal Frame
*Weight: 12.65 Grams
The Metal Frame of this 4D Metal Wheel is the piece that acts as the primary mechanism behind its Mode Change. It has three small protrusions, which fit in with the gaps in the Core, and the protrusions are smaller than each protrusion on the Core.

Core
*Weight: 31.07 grams
Blitz's Core has three separate primary contact points, whereupon the metal slopes down and outward into a finer surface, creating "bumps" on the front-most portion of each wing segment. These slopes provide an advantage in the form of allowing maximum contact with the primary contact points, and often throwing the opposing Wheel slightly off balance when used on a lower Track.

Like all 4D Metal Wheels, Blitz features a mode changing gimmick. It works by rotating the Metal Frame while the Beyblade is disassembled. The two Modes are:

----
* Assault Attack Mode
In this mode, the protrusions on each side of the Metal Frame fit against the six contact points of the Core, creating a single "Wing" on each side, forming a shape very much like Triple Wing (Trygle) from the Plastics generation.

* Barrage Attack Mode
In this mode, the amount of contact points or "Wings" is doubled from three to six by rotating the Metal Frame. However, in doing this, the length of each wing is shortened.
----

Assault Attack Mode is usually the preferred mode of the two, as it is shown to have considerably lower amounts of Recoil, while providing more consistent contact force with it's longer, more pronounced wings. This Wheel has proven to be highly functional and is considered a top-tier right-spin Smash Attack Metal Wheel. It is one of few Smash Wheels with the ability to net a solid KO even at a low spin-velocity. However, this Wheel also suffers from extremely high recoil, and falls prey to an outstanding weakness to left-spin Attackers such as Lightning L Drago/L Drago Destroy 85/90/CH120/BD145RF/R2F/LRF.

Use in Attack Customizations
Blitz's Smash Attack can be used to great effect in the versatile Attack custom, MF Blitz Unicorno II CH120R2F.

Additionally, the low-profile combo, Blitz Unicorno II 85R2F has been discovered to capable of easily and reliably KOing MF-H Basalt Kerbecs BD145CS.

Track: 100
*Weight: 1.0 gram
This track is currently the third lowest track available, but is outclassed in terms of Attack and Stamina by the 85 and 90 Tracks. 100 usually has no problem with floor scrapes, and while it is generally an outclassed part, is still competitively viable, particularly in Attack customizations where it is able to make good contact with most opposing Beyblades.

Bottom: Rubber Semi-Flat
*Weight: 0.7 grams

RSF, or Rubber Semi-Flat, is an SF Bottom completely made out of rubber. It is essentially a flat tip with a smaller radius, affording it a firm, defensive grip on the Stadium, but still allowing for a somewhat aggressive movement pattern with the proper launch. Its drawbacks, however, are that it has shown major weaknesses against Left-Spin Beyblades such as Lightning L Drago, much like RS. RSF, like most Rubber Performance Tips, suffers from poor Stamina, although it has been shown to have slightly more Stamina than RS, due to a wider surface area, resulting in better balance at the end of a battle.

IMPORTANT: Mold Variations
RSF has two Mold variations. The RSF's included in Random Booster Vol.7 Beat Lynx, specifically with the Bey Tornado Horuseus 130RSF. This mold appears to be made of a softer rubber, and thereby behaves more aggressively than other molds. This should be taken into consideration when choosing a method of obtaining an RSF. The RSF included with Blitz Unicorno 100RSF is of the harder rubber variant.

Use in Defense Customization
RSF can be utilized in the Defense customization MF-H Basalt Kerbecs BD145RSF.

Overall
Blitz Unicorno 100RSF has thus far only been released with the BB-117 Strongest Blader Set, and is clearly one of the best purchases for Attack-type enthusiasts favoring Right-Spin. Every Blader should own at least one of this Beyblade.

__TOC__

Ultimate Dragoon was the first Beyblade to be released and was released in Japan in July 1999.

Name Variation
Hasbro released this product under the name Spin Dragoon.

Attack Ring (AR): Cross Dragon
* Weight: 4 grams

Cross Dragon is circular with four rectangular projections evenly distributed around the AR. Due to its shape and design; this AR has little use and is incredibly outclassed. It is not ideal for any form of attack. Cross Dragon does not have any competitive uses except for WD Attack, which is also not very useful in competitive play.

Use in WD Attack Customization
Cross Dragon in a WD Attack customization. Cross Dragon does not extend beyond the WD, leaving the WD completely exposed, therefore allowing this customization to be quite effective.

*AR: Cross Dragon (Ultimate Dragoon)
*WD: Wide Defense
*SG: Right SG
*BB: SG Metal Flat 2 (Gaia Dragoon V)

IMPORTANT: Mold Variations
There are two different molds for Cross Dragon. The original mold of Cross Dragon (Ultimate Dragoon and Megaro Arm version) is very thin and fragile (prone to breaking). The newer mold of Cross Dragon (Makendo version) is much improved from the original version, in that the AR is made thicker and the width of the AR is increased. In the newer mold of Cross Dragon, reinforments have been added to the ring and to the four panels. Due to these improvements, the newer mold AR is much stronger and less likely to break, compared to the original mold. Should Cross Dragon be used, the newer mold (Makendo's Cross Dragon) should be used over the original mold AR.

Note: The Hasbro versions of Ultimate Dragoon, Megaro Arm and Makendo all have the newer mold of Cross Dragon.

Overall
Ultimate Dragoon is useless for competitive play and has been entirely outclassed by numerous parts. This Beyblade would only be worth getting for collection purposes.
Attack Ring (AR): Double Wing
*Weight: 4 grams

This Attack Ring has two wings on either side that are designed for Smash Attack in left spin. Unfortunately, the Attack Ring is outclassed by others such as Eight Spiker (Dragoon G) and produces too much recoil for competitive use.

Weight Disk (WD): 8 Balance
See Eight Balance

Spin Gear (SG): Right SG (Free Shaft Version)
*Weight: 6 grams

This Spin Gear has casings that hold a metal sharp tip and a metal bearing inside. The casings can also be used to hold Driger F's tip inside and allows the tip to be used in many smash attack customizations.

Use in Smash Attack Customization
*AR: Triple Wing (Trygle)
*WD: Wide Defense
*SG: Right SG (Free Shaft Version)
*SG Shaft: Full Auto Clutch (Driger F)
*BB: Defense Grip Base 2 (Wolborg 2)

This customization uses the casings to their fullest. The metal flat tip increases movement. It is best when used with the Sliding Shoot since the the tip makes the Beyblade very hard to control otherwise.

Blade Base (BB): Spiral Change Base
*Weight: 7 grams

This blade base can only hold Right SG (Free Shaft Version). The bottom of the base can be pushed in and turned before battle to have either a metal sharp tip or plastic flat tip. Spiral Change Base has great life-after-death ability when used in the plastic flat tip mode and can be used instead of a bearing tip and is able to tie or beat one, even when used in the opposite spin direction.

Use in Life After Death Customization
*AR: War Lion (Galeon)
*WD: Wide Survivor
*SG: Right SG (Free Shaft Version)
*BB: Spiral Change Base (Endurance Mode)

This customization uses the Life After Death ability to effectively outspin or tie with the opponent and can even beat Zombie beyblades.

Overall
This beyblade is very useful for its Spin Gear, as well as its Blade Base. Both are very useful competitively. Its Attack Ring has some smash attack uses as well, though is outclassed. Everyone should own at least one of this beyblade.
