[[Killer Gemios DF145FS]] has very little going for it besides the excellent DF145 Track, which can be obtained in many other Beyblade products. The Gemios Clear Wheel preferable for HWS-based Stamina customs, but far from being a necessary part. There is little to no reason to purchase this Beyblade, aside from collection purposes.

After an indefinite hiatus in 2005, where [[Takara]] suspended the Beyblade toyline, Beyblade returned in August of 2008 with a new system, anime, manga and video game for the Nintendo DS following in 2009. Takara-Tomy (Takara merged with Tomy in 2006) is currently aiming for 20 billion yen (approximately $200 million USD) in yearly revenue by next year. This new generation of Beyblades name has been translated as [[Metal Fight Beyblade]] (MFB) and on ''August 9th, 2008'' was released to the public.

To celebrate the release of Metal Fight Beyblade, TAKARA-TOMY hosted two events on ''July 12th, 2008'' and ''July 21st, 2008'', under the name of "METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE BIRTH FESTIVAL". They are also continuing to hold tournaments in various regions within Japan.

There are four parts that make up a Metal Fight Beyblade:

The shooter connects directly to the Wheel and does not depend on the Face or the Track for a solid connection. ==Stadiums==
Three stadiums has been revealed so far, “Attack”, “Balance” and “Stamina”; they are comparable to HMS stadiums. In the original renders that were released by TAKARA-TOMY, the centre of the stadium was hexagonal, instead of the traditional circle, but this idea never made it into the finished products.

==WBBA==
The WBBA (World Beyblade Battle Association) is an association being run by TAKARA-TOMY to promote Metal Fight Beyblade, by holding tournaments and giving away prizes to Beybladers who achieve a certain amount of points using the Beypointer.

WBBA shops can be found in numerous Japanese toy stores. These give access to a Bey Tai 1 arcade machine, which allows players to test beyblades and win prizes.

*TAKARA-TOMY also released BB-00 Pegasis Prototype. It is a silver version of Pegasis which is either without paint or simply bare die cast. Since it is event exclusive, this Beyblade cannot be purchased officially through online stores. Japanese people can however easily get one by either going to the World Hobby Fair 2008 or by playing on the GanGan Stadium arcade machine (Bey Tai 1) and winning three consecutive matches.
*TAKARA-TOMY will reward players in Japan a special, limited edition Beyblade (Quetzalcoatl) for obtaining a certain amount of points (15000) through battling other players in the WBBA and collecting three sub-licence cards and getting a premium licence card. Quetzalcoatl 090WF is also available to players who beat one of the highest levels at the Bey Tai 1.

This running core is probably considered the HMS recreation of SG sharp. Unfortunately, it also came with the same downfalls as an SG sharp. Sharp core's height allows it to be taller then most running cores however, it causes it to be off balance and can easily be toppled over. While with certain combinations this can be used as an advantage, there are far better choices for that type then sharp core. This part is out of date in the bey community and is almost useless. Sharp Core weighs 2 grams.

Because of Metal Defense's high recoil and Sharp Core's height Draciel MS gets knocked off balance very easily. This blade is the weakest of the first three HMS blades released however it is completely worth getting. Having a 15 gram circle wide is extremely advantageous.
